I work in a large restaurant myself and I understand how everything works. When you’re a restaurant in the mountains with a beautiful view, and it’s a sunny Saturday, it’s very foolish to schedule only one waiter for the shift — they simply can’t keep up. We sat at the table for 40 minutes without ordering anything. The girl inside at the bar said that the waiter would come and that it’s not possible to order at the counter. We just got up and left. It’s really disappointing when places in such tourist areas try to save money on staff.

The problem with this restaurant is the really rude staff. We walked in via the hotel entrance so the interior of the restaurant was empty. I see 2 guys working there and neither of them greeted us. I asked one if they were open (since it was late, around 3:30pm) and the entire restaurant looked empty. The guy says to me sarcastically in a not-so-nice tone "I would hope so" and then turned away, not asking if I would like a table. This is the worst welcome I have ever received at a restaurant. It felt like I was intruding and bothering them by being a customer. This restaurant was recommended as having a really nice view. I don't know if it's where they seated me, but I could only see directly to the mountain face so it didn't exactly blow me away. As for the food: the 14 francs cauliflower soup was tasteless, the rosti was really good, the sausage was below average. Pricing is expensive as usual for Switzerland. Waiter also forgot an item for our order and when we reminded him, again it was the same attitude of making us feel like we are disturbing him. Please do not work in hospitality if you hate customers.

Had lunch here - view cannot be beat. Have eaten here a few times over multiple trips. Always food service, good food. Special of the day was a pastrami sandwich - quite unusual for the region so tried that. Quite good.
