Trailblazer Rest Site - Loch Lochy

We had the place to ourselves when we stopped here doing the Great Glen Way at the end of February. On the one hand, the camp site is in a fantastic location on the beach, with a lovely wee wooden shelter that you can see in the photos, and plenty benches for sitting at. On the other hand, most of the sites you could pitch on were water logged or quite sloped, so we were pretty lucky that we were the only ones there and so could get a flat pitch. The composting toilet didn't smell at all, but unfortunately was also out of sawdust, oh and there was the usual bags of litter left around both here and in the wooden shelter. Ultimately it's a good option, especially in drier weather, and waking up next to the loch is lovely, just temper your expectations.
