Casa Rural Monte Baserria

It was a very nice stay! Even though it’s in the middle of nowhere (make sure to get your groceries before getting to the hotel) it was very idyllic. There were horses and sheep’s you could watch out of your window and the mountains behind that. The best thing was for sure the dinner! The Chef was so nice and cute und made us an home cocked meal and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Especially the tomato salad. If you have a car I would totally recommend this hotel!

The house is very comfortable with full clean bedding and and we also had access to the upstairs kitchen which was entirely for the guests. The only ibcobvibience is that you need to hike up from Camino which is not far but steep but the owner offered us a lift so if you are very tired accept:).

We had a lovely stay at Casa Rural Monte Baserria. Our host Fernando was kind and very accommodating. We are walking the Camino del Norte and Fernando warned us about the fact that his house is up a big hill and offered to come and pick us up. We were glad to have had the chance to stay in a traditional Basque house. Eskerrik asko Fernando!
