A lovely park to stay at. The facilities are great. We often used the family bathroom with our 2-year-old daughter, which was really convenient. The showers were excellent too. The park is well looked after and everyone is very friendly. The location is perfect — close to the beach and a great starting point to explore the beautiful area

We stayed here for 10 days in our motorhome. Toilet and shower blocks are spacious and also has family bathroom with little bath. So well organised and clean. Showers are not at a set temperature neither on a timer which was lovely. A lovely hot shower I could choose. Campsite really well organised, friendly and very clean. Great for children and dogs. A play area for children also. Different catering vans on different days scheduled. Ice cream van visits also daily in the evenings. The site has a coded gate at the rear of the campsite which leads to a little foot track. Walk left onto the track and come to the main road. Careful crossing as it's on a bend. Cross the road and continue on the road opposite which leads downwards to Gwithian Towans beach. An amazing beach and dog friendly to the left side as walk down the beach steps. Good parking also. Surf Cafe morning till 4pm and Chomp cafe 2pm till 9pm (follow three mile beach complex). The Jam Pot is close by also up on the cliff also. The campsite has buses that stop outside the campsite entrance in direction of St Ives. Must wave the bus down outside the campsite entrance. Can go to St Ives on the bus £6 return for adult and dog friendly (dogs free). St Ives is beautiful . Also Pub near the campsite called Red River Inn but we didn't go there. I think if you want to catch the bus towards Truro direction you may need to catch the bus from the Red River Inn pub or the layby near Gwithian Towans beach. Check with the campsite. The campsite gives you a welcome pack with things to do and a bus timetable on arrival. Lidl is also close to campsite (take a car or bus)

Lovely site close to gorgeous beach (though do check for sewage alerts after heavy rain as the lifeguards don't post them at the beach information point). Not as remote as it may look as several cafes, restaurants and pub within walking distance along dunes or footpaths, and good selection of pubs, shops, fish and chips, pasties and ice cream in Hayle. St Ives brewery also nearby. Bus timetables printouts available, buses very frequent, with short journeys into Hayle and to St Ives and Penzance, last bus from Hayle back to the site is about 8.00 PM, so can do a lovely longer walk via the coast path or beach into Hayle and get bus back Site was recently renovated with new toilet and shower block :- The good - new shower block is to a very high standard - toilets now don't close as they are divided into 2 zones for cleaning - local catering vans stop most nights in summer Could have been better ... - arrivals area now smaller, and they rigidly enforce the 1 o'clock arrivals time, and there aren't many places to stop nearby on local roads - some pitches could do with a top up of sand to level them out, and you'll have to fill in rabbit holes yourself - facilities aren't mirrored on each side of the toilet block, and there aren't enough toilets, with wasted space on sink cubicles that would have been better used on toilets or showers - there's now no outside washing up area - am not sure why a key fob system to access the toilets is required given its relatively remote location - layout of the site and roads not changed, so some pitches still a bit cramped, and others huge, also seems odd that a lot of the new serviced pitches are non awning
