Penrhiw/ Hilltop Cottage

The property itself was nice, and we genuinely enjoyed our stay from July 15 to July 19. It was a comfortable space, and we had a great time overall — until things took a turn after checkout. Over a week later, the host contacted us with completely false accusations, claiming we had broken the TV and caused a bed bug infestation. None of these issues were mentioned when we left, and no real proof was provided — only unclear photos with no context. We had also left the place clean and tidy, despite already paying a cleaning fee. It felt like we were being unfairly blamed after the fact, and the way it was handled made us feel targeted and extremely uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because it really was a nice place — but we can’t recommend it due to the host’s behaviour after our stay.

I stayed at Hilltop with my whole family and two dogs recently. Firstly, it's a lovely cottage, with stunning and very picaresque surroundings - we all had a fab time in Snowdonia and can't wait to revisit. The accommodation itself was more than adequate for us adults and the kids. The kids made use of the complimentary Disney channel, board games and Alexa. There's also complimentary Netflix which is so convenient for evening times. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival and we had everything needed for our stay. There's a BBQ outside, with lounge chairs, a swinging hammock, dining table and benches, plus lots of room for parking on the drive and around the side of the house. 5 Stars! Thank you.

Really lovely cottage with everything we needed for a large family stay. Great location, very peaceful and the children enjoyed exploring the area
