Coach & Horses

We didn't stay but if the rest of the wonderful place is anything to go by it'll be good. We stayed nearby and called in looking for an evening meal. 3 of us 3 different meals belly pork,scampi and steak pie. All absolutely lovely. So good in fact we ate there again 2 days later. Good pint of st Austell bitter too.

We were at the Coach & Horses for Sunday lunch, a carvery. My wife chose beef, I chose belly pork. This establishment loads the meat and vegetables before serving and they were fully loaded. My pork was massive, too much, I brought some home and my dog had a real treat. The roast potatoes were perfect, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside. Other veggies included cauliflower cheese, carrots, swede, leek, cabbage and leek and the crowning glory was a huge Yorkshire pudding. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better carvery. We still managed dessert, we both had sticky toffee pudding, it was delicious. My wife had a pinot Grigio and I had a pint of their guest ale, Reverend James, a Welsh beer brewed by Brains.

Went here for Sunday lunch today. Great experience. Good food and excellent service. Attentive but not intrusive. Would highly recommend. Thankyou for a lovely time.
