Hotel Miramare

We enjoyed an unbelievably great stay at Hotel Miramare and want to to highlight the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff as well as the great location. We had a beautiful room, which was very clean and from where we enjoyed the amazing sea view. We also booked the private spa for 2 hours and were mooore than happy with all the spa facilities. We even watched the sunset from the spa area which was an extra highlight for us. The breakfast buffet was amazing and it was the perfect way to start our day.

We accidentally booked the hotel for the following week. When we arrived in front of the hotel, we discovered that it was under renovation. We immediately realized our mistake and, while urgently trying to find alternative accommodation, we sent an email to the hotel asking to cancel the reservation. We received no reply. Six days later, the day before the actual reservation date, we contacted the hotel again and were told, very dismissively, to contact Booking, which is obviously unrealistic one day before arrival. We then sent another email, which was also completely ignored. After all of this, we finally spoke by phone with a very rude receptionist who insisted that no emails had ever been received. This is difficult to take seriously, especially while I was reading out the exact email address we used(info@hotelmiramaretrieste.it), an address clearly containing the word “Trieste” only to be told that this supposedly belongs to a hotel in Naples. To be clear, we were not asking for a refund. Our intention was simply to explain that we would be traveling through Trieste again the following month and to ask whether any consideration could be given, such as a small discount or adjustment on a future stay. Unfortunately, the receptionist’s rude and dismissive attitude made any reasonable conversation impossible, and we were not even given the opportunity to properly explain this.

We will definitely come back. Wonderful view of the sea, not only from the balcony of the room, but also from the bed and the bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff, trying to solve absolutely any request. Buffet breakfast, which includes everything you could want, plus you can order eggs cooked any way you want and coffee, all included in the room price. It was beyond expectations.
