Bonny Bits Cottage

This is a cottage in the middle of The North. If you came to find your way around easily, drive your big pickup on back roads, or check out the thriving music scene: bad call. Do some research next time. This is a well appointed set of bedrooms, full kitchen, living room with wood stove: cozy. And it is efficient as well. There's a washer, but you will be the dishwasher. Full cooktop and micro, all the pots and pans and utensils. Great internet and a book of thing to do. Walks and town info and restaurants in Alston. I didn't even know there were lead mines up here [went to Nenthead, walked around the mining area which was closed on Saturday, but everyone I met stopped and told me something new. London Lead Company. Who knew?]. There is a bunch to do. Go see the Tiny Village. It was so nice we extended for 2 more nights before we fly to Milan out of Manchester. Only one suggestion for the owner: when it is dark, the cottage is hard to find. Put out a sign with a solar battery LED over it, pointing to the driveway [plenty of parking, by the way]. P.S. - I have just been told by the friend that booked the joint that the owner has been in communication and was concerned: did we not find the dishwasher? Kids: I like to correct my mistakes. I washed a sink full of dishes needlessly. Had I merely looked about.... There is a dishwasher here that is a machine. I am sorry to have erred but glad to find the place. Come and stay here. It's nice.

Small very comfortable cottage. Quiet village. Excellent directions easy to find. Good wifi.

Stunning cottage, luxurious in every way from the roll top bath and comfy beds to the beautiful decor . Everything is here it’s like home from home.The gardens are perfect cottage style with lots well tended plants. Even bird food is available to feed the birds on the window mounted feeder. Quiet relaxing cottage will be returning very soon.
