The rooms are quite small and somewhat outdated especially the bathroom. There was no place to put the luggage except the floor. The dining area was quite cold as well as the rooms when the electric heater is not running. If the heater is running, the room gets really warm. The food was good but nothing spectacular.

I've stayed here a few times, and I'll continue to stay here for the foreseeable future. The hotel is really hit or miss, there is no in-between. Locationwise, it's perfect for the West Highland Way or for hill walking the local Munros. Food in the hotel is excellent. Whether it's the breakfast buffet or dinner, you will get an excellent meal. The rooms are big but they are very old and tired. I understand the majority of the hotel's customers are walkers, so they'll have muddy shoes. But the wear and tear on the carpets is so bad. The bathrooms are so dated, it's like they've not been touched since the 1980s. Public areas are very nice, comfy and pleasant to be in. This hotel could be absolutely stunning if a bit of money was spent on refurbishing the inside and outside of it. I don't ever see that happening though and it'll continue to be the Indian Fawlty Towers.

Undertaking a removal from newmarket to oban we needed to find a hotel to accomodate parking for 2 removal lorries. I am so glad we came upon this hotel. The staff are so so friendly and make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. The rooms are tastefully done and a great size. We had a double deluxe room . The decor around the hotel is amazing. The bar area is great. There is a games area. The restaurant is big with friendly staff. The location is amazing too. Very scenic Thank you to the team for looking after us
