Pension Villa Else

The only toiletry provided was a small bottle bottle of hand soap. So prepare for this and bring everything else you need and want. Parking for a car is not on the rather large parking lot at the hotel but across the street at a location which appears to be a construction site. So prepare to carry bags a lot farther than you might expect. The room and the bathroom is heated by hot water supplied radiators. The hot water was turned off at night by the hotel and the room got very cold. Sleep was disturbed because of this. Bring extra blankets if you come during the colder months. There is no telephone in the room through which to call management and get things fixed. We found a bug in the room that looked like a cockroach. All the decorative plants in the room are synthetic and so there is no soil in their pots from which the bug might have jumped. We did not bring Euros with us as we had booked and paid with credit card on Priceline. This was a HUGE problem on arrival so be alerted to the need for cash/Euros so you can avoid the HOURS of time we (and the hotel) had to endure to resolve it. In the end, we were so disappointed in all we experienced we decided to leave after the first of a two night stay. No refund of the second night could be obtained. The hotel did not seem to be considerate of the situation; only wish to keep the money we paid. So fellow travelers, be diligent and make sure this accomodation will provide all you desire and need. There's no turning back the "time clock" at the Villa Else.

We stopped here for a coffee and cake because the cycle route was being dug up. It was a marvellous surprise. We could have taken all the cakes back home, but we didn't have room on our bikes. The terrace looks over a beautiful stretch of the river. The boss kept things going proficiently and friendly.

Worst service we have got in our life. The lady is very rude and shows no interest to answer our questions. NOT SATISFACTORY AT ALL
