We had a mini break of three days before Christmas. Room was very nice and spacious. Very clean and everything we needed including bowls, treats and poo bags for our dog. We ate each evening in the bar. The food was excellent. Good substantial breakfast freshly cooked. All of the staff were very nice. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have booked to stay again in March.

Haven't visited this place for about 20 years. It's beautiful. Still full of character and friendly staff. Came with my wife for a night and it was so pleasant to be welcomed so warmly. The rooms were perfectly fine at an amazing price. Breakfast was plentiful, cooked perfectly and the service was excellent with nothing being too much trouble. Just booked for another few nights because we enjoyed it so much. It's perfectly placed in a beautiful location to visit friends and family.

Tucked in a pretty village with much history as seen on photos on pub walls, awaits a very warm welcome from Georgie , breakfast chef, barmaid, waitress, mattress de , welcomer you name it with a hearty laugh, smile, nothings too much trouble attitude. I can stand, walk a few paces and steps so we had room5 which is a roomy, comfortable room, own shower/loo room. Big Wall mounted TV with free view . I will mention that for disabled wheelchair users who can't stand & walk a little it's not classed as a disabled room, but we had asked suitability for my needs before, hence Georgie suggested room 5 which is accesable from car park . Bit like going into a chalet, 4 steps to use 2 outside to under porch, 2 down into room. From then plenty of wheelie space to settee, chairs & bed, shower/loo. Suggest take own suction pad hand rails in shower & take own shower stool, but Im sure after this being mentioned the owners would get one, it's that homely sort of place. Food beautiful, full English, eggs done however you want & freshly cooked on ordering. Be warned The Manor folk are "feeders", no one would be hungry after breakfast unless you chose not to eat from cereals, yoghurt, full English, bacon sarnie, eggs on toast or with anything you fancied. Non greasy. Being a village pub, also does a menu but has a couple specials on too in the evening. A pleasantly busy venue, children & dogs welcome with high chairs for the tinnies. Super atmosphere, mix of locals & guests . Sunday night is a music quizz , Wed: ? General Quizz & no shortage of locals who will invite we visitors to join their teams making good for friendly banter. Evening meals fully home cooked, good choices but if you love French onion soup as I do your in heaven, almost a meal in its self, lots of onion, with croutons, cheese melted ( the stretchy cheese), cheddar sprinkled on top with bread. Everywhere clean, rooms fresh smelling. I honestly have not come across a better place to stay pub B&B , & we have been to many in 48yrs married life. A real home from home. Why it's only 3 stars & not 4 , I really don't know. I saw the pub award certificates for way beer kept, food hygiene was 1st class. Also short distance to Dartmouth, surrounding areas. We will be back ! Just a call " Is room 5 available.?".
