Gostilna PR'TAVČAR

We were coming back from a hike and looking for a place to eat when a giant metal horse caught my eye, so we decided to stop. The restaurant looks like it’s family-run, and all three people working there were clearly working very hard. We had to wait a little bit to get the menus, but once we ordered the food came really fast. We tried a typical Sunday lunch: beef soup, Wiener schnitzel, and a big house salad. The beef soup was clearly made from scratch and absolutely delicious. The food overall tasted great, but what really stood out were the vegetables — they were incredibly fresh. Because of our diet we usually eat fewer carbs, so we really appreciated that the veggies tasted so good and fresh. We’ll definitely come back again.

Mushroom soup was wonderful. Tuna salad was so plentiful it couldn’t possibly be finished. Service was polite, prompt and friendly. Entrance is at the rear. Lovely out door area sitting in the sun.

My Slovenian friend took me here for a local Sunday lunch. Don’t order the lunch menu if you can’t finish two snitchell, a meat, with potatoes, and a salad, and a dessert. Just order one of those 😅😅😅 Food was good. I don’t know about you but I like traveling like a local.
