The Golden Lion Hotel Weymouth

Made a booking to stay here (online), arrived and was informed its not called by this name anymore, under new management and they can not help with the booking (pre paid) they are renovating so no rooms available. Basically told me it's my problem now, they do not honor the booking I made, eventhough I paid already. I would recommend anybody phone and confirm before making an online booking on this site.

Just back from overnight stay. Fantastic place, great location. Staff were brilliant especially the young guy behind the bar who checked us in (sorry didnt get his name) who went above and beyond . A real credit to you. Definitely will stay again. Highly recommend.

Went on a night out with my friends and stopped for drinks here. Super busy evening so we hadn’t been served for drinks. I said to my friends with me, that we should move on, due to not being served. My friends wanted to stay, Before we had even decided to leave we were responded with a bartnender telling us he would no longer serve us drinks! We had not offended, nor said anything directly to any staff, I was simply talking to my own group. What a rude employee who clearly did not care whatsoever. This was a male employee at roughly 9.30 pm on the 21st December 2024.
