Ceol Na Mara Guest House - Bed and Breakfast

When we were greeted by sheep on the road before we even got to the front door, we knew Ceol Na Mara was going to be a special place - and we were right! The location is great and the surroundings are stunningly beautiful. Watching the sunset across the bay was magical. The rooms are clean, spacious, well appointed and the beds nice and comfy. This isn’t Elly and Andy’s first rodeo and you can tell - they definitely know what they’re doing and effortlessly made our stay there so wonderful. They are warm, friendly, welcoming and were able to make great recommendations for hiking, birding, restaurants and things to do. The breakfast was outstanding as was the scotch selection :) The icing on the cake - if you have any interest in fishing, rafting, or kayaking, Andy is your guy - super knowledgeable and friendly. Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to spend there.

Lovely location, awesome hosts, although we didn't get to meet Andy. We had to leave at 4am so we missed breakfast however they backed us a nice bag lunch for our journey. It you visit the Isle of Harris, this is a definitely the place to stay.

Andy and Elly were lovely, gracious hosts, and the setting was amazing, with beautiful views of the coastline from every room, as well as sheep and ponies. Bed was comfortable, facilities clean. Breakfasts were phenomenal. Cannot recommend highly enough.
