Gîte de la Fouly

Another one of our favorite refugios along the Tour du Mont Blanc! It's clean, quaint and cozy, with its own laundry/backpack/boot room. They thought of everything! Meals were excellent - veggie lasagna and salad for dinner. It was like being invited to someone's home for a home-cooked meal. We would definitely stay here again.

Best sleep on the TMB & best meal as well! The owner is a bit quirky so be patient, but kind. One small issue was that the owner didn’t give us our room key immediately & came to our room later to provide it to us but came into the room abruptly- thankfully we weren’t showering/undressed at the time. Kind of weird. Experience would be improved to have a more organized check in process! But we had a great time all around. Would definitely stay here again! We had a single room with bathroom & it was an extremely nice room with comfy beds & a beautiful view!

Gîte de la Fouly is truly a unique and special place. You will be prepared a home-cooked meal and eat it family style with the other guests. The rooms are immaculate, if not a little utilitarian. There is the sense of being welcomed into someone’s home, in the best way. Be prepared to store your baggage in the baggage room, not in your room. House rules. The owner is energetic and direct but friendly. Not very much English is spoken but enough to get things done. If you have French, dust it off and it’ll be much appreciated.
