Chalet Nant Rouge

My group stayed here while hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc in the second half of Sept 2025. Overall, our experience was excellent. The owner and his wife were fantastic hosts, and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. they had a good system in place for gear storage, which allowed you to dry your shoes/boots and hang up any wet gear in a secure room. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and they were thoughtful in the use of space. Breakfast was available the next morning; the quality of the food was good, and the scope of offerings was in line with what we found at other places (meat, cheese, good bread, cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and juice). a 'picnic' lunch was available for purchase, and I was again pleased with the quality of food provided (ham and cheese sandwich on fresh baguette). The owner even offered to drive us to the trail head, which saved us an hour of boring road walking. Thanks again, Alex!

Had an amazing stay while hiking the TMB! The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully designed and spotlessly clean with an incredible view of the mountains from the terrace. Place your order the night before for a delicious lunch to take hiking with you! Breakfast included amazing homemade croissants, cheeses, meat, granola, yogurt, coffee and more. The hosts made us dinner reservations for a wonderful restaurant a 5 min walk away. Highly recommend!

My group stayed here for one night while trekking the TMB and it was by far our favorite Chalet! Alex and his wife warmly welcomed us, even though we were a bit cranky from the day. They were so friendly and accommodating, and even helped us make a dinner reservation when we were too tired to figure it out. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great and Alex's fresh made croissants were a highlight! I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back one day.
