An absolutely amazing and lovely experience staying here - would come back again and again. This was my wife and I's first ski trip to the Alps and were just enamored with Les Contamines and Hotel Gai Soleil. Valerie and David were exceptional proprietors - their energy and vibe was very welcoming and kind. The breakfast was excellent and everything we needed. The private jacuzzi and sauna were incredible to have each night. The location couldn't be better, an easy walk to anywhere in town and just a couple of minutes drive to the slopes or you could take the bus. I would recommend Hotel Gai Soleil over and over to anyone. You should come here! 6 stars out of 5.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Chalet-Hotel Gai Soleil. David and Valerie were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious and the skiing was fantastic!

We stayed at Hotel Gai Soleil on Day One of the Tour du Mont Blanc, and it was the perfect way to end the day. The hotel itself was lovely—comfortable, clean rooms and a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. After a long day of hiking, we sat out on the grassy area and enjoyed a relaxing drink, soaking in the scenery. What really made the stay stand out was the owner—so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend this place to anyone walking the TMB or visiting Les Contamines!
