Casa do Lado

We stayed for 3 night in the Foz room. Our room was available straight from the early morning of the check-in and Mariana informed us via Whatsap message. Parking is available right outside the building. The rooms are beautifully designed and decorated, very well maintained. The black-out shutter was a great surprise! Some improvements would be to add a mini fridge and upgrade the shower gel/shampoo amenities. The water pressure of the shower is also very weak. An iron on request would be a great addition. Although it’s very hot outside the room was always nice and fresh. The breakfast was the absolute highlight of the stay, fresh bread, cheeses, coffee and a delicious home made jam. Tomas and Mariana were very helpful and kind, always provided great recommendations of beaches and restaurants. We loved everything about our stay!

Casa do Lado is an exceptional place to stay. A quiet location yet very central to everything, tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and equipped, with many personal touches that made such a difference. Thank you Tomas for being a welcoming and charming host and to Mariana for the outstanding food. We definitely hope to return and recommend it without exception.

A Perfect Stay at Casa do Lado Staying at Casa do Lado was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The accommodation is beautifully designed, thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable multi-day stay. Tomás and Mariana, the incredible hosts, truly go above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit. Not only are they warm and welcoming, but they are also outstanding chefs! The level of service they provide is unparalleled. Tomás was a great help with local tips and even took care of making reservations for us at some extraordinary restaurants in town. Breakfast each morning was fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with care and attention to detail. One of the highlights of our stay was their willingness to prepare a dinner for us during the winter season – an amazing gesture. Their regional dishes were nothing short of amazing, and we highly recommend taking the opportunity to savor their cooking. We would return to Casa do Lado without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a wonderful stay. Thank you, Tomás and Mariana, for creating such a magical experience!
