Camping Milfontes

Lovely little municipal campsite. Great location and good value. Good sanitary facilities, although a little dated. Lovely lady on reception, bless her she appeared to be running it single handed. Great dog walks too. Would definitely return.

Decent campsite within 10 min walk to the center. It has open places you can choose freely. The playground was nice for the kids but the supermarket was OK but the fresh bread options were a bit disappointing. Also during our stay there was some construction work just outside of the camping during the day.

Mixed reviews, but came for a night, stayed five! Sanitary blocks tired and cleaned regularly, but hunt out a decent one and you can have a hot, powerful shower. Told to pitch up anywhere and the pitches are a bit of mixed bag. Higgledy piggledy with trees in odd places and mostly sand underneath. Electrical boxes seem equally randomly spread around, so bring a long cable. There is a large, central hardstanding area that is more suitable for large vans (ours is under 6m). Bar, cafe and well stocked shop on site. Washing machine a bit steep at 5.75€. ACSI rate 19€. Location is great and Milfontes is beautiful. Happy to recommend.
