Well, the campsite is okay. Nothing more. The prices on the website are completely wrong. (And they're wrong on Instagram too!) And we had to pay an extra €2 for our two-year-old son. (We've never had to do that at any other campsite before.) The pitches (the large ones, mind you) are tiny. A fresh loaf of bread would have cost €6 (!!!). It's okay for a short stopover, but that's about it.

A very basic campsite, with some quite small pitches. The sanitary facilities and washing-up area take some getting used to. You have to collect €1 coins for the shower; €1 gets you 3 minutes of showering. There's one toilet for men and two for women. Everything is built from oriented strand board (OSB), not the ideal material for damp areas. Access is only possible at a slow walking pace. If you like things simple, you might like it; the beach isn't far. We didn't like it; sometimes the campsite and its users just don't mesh.

The owner is very unfriendly. If you arrive with a caravan and car, it's nearly impossible to get everything onto the pitch. Our car stuck out maybe 10 cm over the line, and there was a huge fuss. Besides that, the access road to the pitch is already quite precarious. The pitch itself is cheap, but it's absolutely not worth any more than that. All things considered, it wasn't so cheap after all. A 3-minute shower costs €1. Filling up with water costs €1, electricity is charged per kilowatt-hour, a flat rate of €1, plus €2 for a night's use of the refrigerator. Everything there is very basic and haphazard. The owner, however, acts as if he runs a 5-star campsite. We're not demanding, but we do want to be treated politely, so we do. This is rather unusual for Portugal, as the people here are generally very friendly. Upon departure, we were told that the so-called owner wasn't actually the owner. The German woman at reception was the only nice person on the entire site. Conclusion: we will never return to this place, and in 7 weeks in Portugal, the pseudo-manager will receive the crown for rudeness!
