B&B La Grange

While hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc at the end of August, we stayed one night at Chalet La Grange. Of the 10 days of hiking, this was the MOST enjoyable place to stay. We had a double room with a very comfortable bed, including fresh sheets and a comforter….a real treat after using hut sacks or disposable bedding at one Hut/Gîte. The food was also impressive, made from fresh ingredients, right in front of us, while we enjoyed a drink at the downstairs seating area. Breakfast was also impressive, it included a variety of delicious homemade jams and good bread. The shared bathroom was clean & comfortable and available as there were only 6 people out of a max of 12 possible. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the town of Champex Lac. During good weather, they also have a lovely garden with multiple seating areas. Would love to stay here again if in the neighborhood, even if not hiking TMB.

Loved this place so much. We stayed here as part of our Mont Blanc tour route and considering we also stopped off for a stay in a five star spa hotel during the hike, this was our favourite place! Delphine and Daniel were the perfect hosts, the food quality was excellent - with lovely little touches like home made fig jam at breakfast and a hearty carrot and ginger soup for starters - there were local wines and craft beer available at the trust bar, and lovely places to lounge outside, rain or shine! The photos on this review page aren’t updated, the outside has much more seating now, and we sat in a sheltered seating area, under blankets with a hot chocolate. Ooh there is also a very loving cat! Best stop on the tour for sure.

Stayed here as a group doing the TMB, and was our favourite stay of the whole trip. The B&B opens at 4pm, but our hosts had put cold drinks in a cooler for early arrivals. We enjoyed a tasty and substantial home cooked meal, and the picnic for the next day was the best of our trip. Shower was great, sleeping areas quiet and restful. All in all couldn't recommend more!
