Apartamentos Capitão

We read so many bad reviews but at the end we had a good time, the apartment was cozy and was well furnished for two people, sheets and towels were fresh and clean. I assume it's summer apartments because there's no heating and there's a large swimming pool outside (we came in november so it was too cold for the pool but it was still very clean). Above all this, the price was very low so we were didn't expected much but it was a pleasant surprise. The lady was also really kind.

Booked for a weekend (2 nights). The apartments area is a villa composed of several houses with different capacities and size, with the central piece being a pool. In the open area, nearby the pool there are several sun loungers and a deck with outdoor sofas, chairs and table (from these some were severely damaged and had not been replaced and/or hidden to avoid accidents, particularly with children, when we left). Several apartments had an outdoor barbecue. Upon arrival the key was retrieved from a key safe. Cleaning employees were in the facilities but nobody came to receive/ welcome us. From that point on, conversation/ contact was also null. Regarding the accommodations, we booked two apartments. I left some pictures of the exterior and interior of the apartment where I stayed in. The accommodations are modest; it is possible to see that some of the apartments were slightly improved (i can not say renewed) when compared to others. When I opened the door it smelled of humidity/mould; It was necessary to ventilate the space, which led to the accumulation of mosquitoes inside. For each bedroom a set of clean towels was provided. The the bed linen was also provided and was clean. In the kitchen was possible to find several several cooking utensils, glasses, cutlery and plates, but they were all dirty and full of grease. One of the apartments had detergent available to clean the dishes and matches for the stove, but the second apartment had nothing available. A hair dryer was also available in one of the apartments. Toilet paper was provided but not enough for the hole stay and the number of individuals in each apartment. The toilet paper, bed linen and towels were not changed during our stay. Cleaning services was also not included/ performed during these days. The apartments do not have parking; the cars must be parked nearby on the street - short number of places available. Price x quality... while price is quite appealing I am not sure if I would book another stay due to service quality.
