AL-Odeceixe Verde

Perfect little hotel in the center of Odeceixe. We had a room off the patio and up the stairs which we loved. Spacious, bathroom with window. The pool and jacuzzi (views of the windmill) on the rooftop were super nice. There was an open bar (!) as well. The breakfast staff was very very sweet and attentive. There were portuguese croissants, local cheese, fresh fruit, eggs and fresh orange juice. We were also offered a plastic container to take fruit and sandwiches with us. Fernando the owner came by for a little chat, perfect host. We loved it and were sad to leave.

This is a fabulous boutique hotel with a generous host who has thought of everything that might make his guests lives more comfortable. We were welcomed from a dusty day on the trail with a cold beer and an even colder tap to wash our dusty legs. Our lovely room was supplied with robes and cold drinks and the rooftop pool gave us a great view over this charming and picturesque town. The highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfast with delicious coffee and beautifully presented fresh fruit.

I stayed at the Odeceixe Verde while hiking the fishermen’s trail and it could not have been more perfect! Fernando, the owner, and his staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and perfectly-kept, the rest of the property was lovely, and breakfast in the morning was amazing as well. I only wish I could have stayed longer! Would certainly come again.
