A Maré/The Mare

We enjoyed our stay at A Mare and Salema. Our host was very helpful and responded quickly. Helpful guide to area provided. The quiet, relaxed pace was just what we needed. Especially enjoyed the outdoor seating areas to take in the view, being close to the beach, and open shared space to get tea, coffee or cold water, grab or trade a paperback, or get tips on hikes or places to explore nearby. Nice coffee shops, small grocery store, and restaurants in area. We enjoyed the Indian restaurant.

This was a perfect spot to stay while hiking the Fisherman’s Trail. Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer. We had a studio room which was clean, a comfortable bed, and views from bed. The better views are out on the shared patio where there’s plenty of space to relax. The only reason I gave service 4* is because there isn’t reception on the weekends. We were given clear directions though, and we didn’t have any issues. I definitely recommend this place when staying in Salema.

Loved staying at A Maré! Our room had a beautiful view. The rooms had everything we needed; check in and communication were straightforward. This was an ideal place to stay in a sweet little town. We really enjoyed it here.
